  • In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdul Latif Jameel Motors introduced the 2023 Crown, a luxury sedan with sophistication, a roomy interior, and cutting-edge technology and safety features.

  • The 1955 Toyota 2023 Crown, the company's first mass-produced passenger car, is going back to its roots with a new symbol that honors both innovation and history.

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, The highly anticipated 2023 Toyota Crown was unveiled by Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, a Toyota-authorized distributor in Saudi Arabia since 1955, ushering in a new era of style, sophistication, and cutting-edge technology. The 16th-generation Crown displays the unmatched workmanship and dynamic driving experience for which it is recognized, demonstrating its constant dedication to quality and its deep respect for its history.

The 2023 Crown has raised the bar for luxury sedans, with its exquisite profile and muscular stance enhancing the dynamic driving experience while providing unsurpassed performance, comfort, and safety. The car comes with two eco-friendly powertrains and combines a distinct feeling of beauty and nostalgia.

A front electric motor, the first-ever 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder turbo engine made by Toyota, and a straight-shift six-speed automatic transmission make up the first hybrid electric powertrain. The hybrid electric system is linked with a rear-wheel electric axle that has a high-output, water-cooled electric motor to directly transfer power to the four wheels. With a combined output of 344 hp and 550 nm of torque, these engines guarantee an exciting throttle response and linear acceleration throughout the power spectrum.

The second hybrid electric powertrain has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and two electric motors, together producing 218 horsepower. The fuel efficiency of the hybrid-electric system with an electric continuously variable transmission (e-CVT), which increases driving enjoyment to new heights, is the lowest at 26.1 km/l.

Depending on the speed and driving style of the user, the new Crown model can be driven totally on electricity with no fuel consumption and no exhaust emissions or by combining the power produced by the petrol engine with the electric motor. There is no need to plug in a power cord because the hybrid vehicle's batteries are continuously charged by either the gasoline engine or while braking and slowing down. The hybrid-electric model runs like any other regular car and doesn't need special gasoline thanks to a number of cutting-edge innovations.

The iconic luxury sedan, the 2023 Crown, represents Abdul Latif Jameel Motors' dedication to excellence by providing the ideal fusion of performance, luxury, and style, according to Mazin Ghazi Jameel, Managing Director of Toyota Marketing Operations at Abdul Latif Jameel Motors. The car has a long and storied history in Saudi Arabia, where generations of affluent visitors have been enthralled by its classic charm and superb driving experience. We pay homage to this valued tradition by unveiling a car that redefines what a premium sedan can be by combining renowned reliability with cutting-edge technology.

The 2023 Crown, which made its debut in 1955 as Toyota's first mass-produced passenger car, goes back to its roots with a new insignia that upholds the tradition and innovation it stands for. The car is a distinctive fusion of forms, with the opulent appearance of a luxury sedan, the sporty styling of a sports car, and the roomy interior of an SUV. This car stands out from the crowd and presents a novel approach to the premium sedan.

The most recent design of the Toyota Crown exhibits creativity and ambition while offering great handling and maneuverability. It is built on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA-K) platform, which ensures a more satisfying driving experience by offering outstanding body rigidity and a low center of gravity. The car has a brand-new MacPherson strut-type suspension up front and a brand-new multi-link suspension system in the back, both of which improve handling and ride comfort while also providing remarkable stability. This vehicle features a variety of driving modes, including Normal, Eco, Sport, Sport+, and Comfort, to accommodate various preferences and driving styles. Additionally, there is a custom mode that enables users to customize the settings of the car according to their particular driving preferences. Drivers have the option to enjoy better steering responsiveness, flat cornering, stability, or a more comfortable ride with these options.

Toyota Motor Corporation's chief representative for the Middle East and Central Asia Representative Office, Kei Fujita, said: "We are happy to announce the legend's comeback and debut the eagerly awaited new Toyota Crown in the Middle East. This new premium car, which was designed to provide a simple driving experience, offers quick acceleration, assured handling, and exceptional comfort for a stylish ride. Our unwavering commitment to achieve carbon neutrality is further illustrated by the introduction of the Crown with hybrid electric powertrains. We would like to express our gratitude to all of our clients in the area and beyond for continually motivating us to develop 'ever-better cars' that go above and beyond their expectations.

The appearance of the Crown is svelte and contemporary, with a prominent front grille and lengthy headlamps. The vehicle's rear design features lights with a straight, streamlined extension that broadens its appearance and adds a posh touch, completing its elegant appearance.

Visitors will note the exquisite attention to detail in every interior component as soon as they enter the roomy cabin, from the elegant metal highlights to its opulent new features. The instrument panel's curved design gives the driver the best possible concentration, while the display and operating tools make for simple control. Due to the vehicle's unusual height, it is possible to see the road more clearly and enter and exit with ease.

A 12.3-inch touchscreen multimedia system with Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM compatibility, a 12.3-inch TFT color meter with 12 patterns, a color head-up display (HUD), a dual-zone automatic air conditioning system with rear AC vents, an 11-speaker JBL surround sound system, a panoramic roof, multiple power and ventilation settings for the front seats, and 60/40 split and reclining seats are also included in the Crown's standard equipment. The new Crown includes a hands-free, electrically powered trunk that, when the user's hands or arms are full, may be opened using a foot-operated system for enhanced convenience.

Like every other Toyota model, the Crown places a high priority on driver safety. A cutting-edge driver assistance and safety system, Toyota Safety Sense, ensures complete peace of mind. It incorporates new technologies like automatic emergency braking, emergency steering assist, and acceleration suppression at low speed, as well as a pre-collision system (PCS) with an enlarged detection range for automobiles, pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists. The system also includes Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) with Turn Signal Control (TSC), which provides an initial acceleration when the driver activates the turn signal to improve highway overtaking safety and smoothness. Curve Speed Reduction (RSR) slows the car down as it approaches a bend and speeds it up again as it comes out of it. Other features include the Adaptive High-Beam System (AHS), Lane Tracing Alert (LTA), and Lane Departure Alert (LDA).

The new Crown also has eight SRS airbags: Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Parking Assist Monitor (PAM), Parking Support Brake (PKSB), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), Drive-Start Control (DSC), Panoramic View Monitor (PVM), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert

The Crown's new bold look will include seven alluring exterior colors that complement the vehicle's striking visual appeal, including Precious White Pearl, Precious Silver, Precious Metal, Massive Gray, Black, Emotional Red II, and Precious Bronze. It will also come with 19- and 21-inch machine-finished black and 21-inch dark premium metallic wheels. With the inclusion of many dual-tone variations, additional customization is made available. Precious white pearl, precious silver, precious metal, massive gray, emotional red, or precious bronze can all be used with black. The interior of the car has an equally fashionable color scheme, with two options: black or sage.
