300 professionals attended Saudi-Swiss CleanTech Forum 2023 at Garage headquarters

Riyadh, September 11, 2023, On Sunday, 300 industry professionals gathered at the Garage headquarters for the opening of the Saudi-Swiss CleanTech Forum 2023. The King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) is in charge of organizing the meeting along with the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority (RDIA) and the Swiss Embassy in the Kingdom. Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim, the Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning, stressed throughout the meeting the critical need for legislative and regulatory frameworks for a thorough transition to sustainable energy sources.

He stated that the NEOM initiative intends to produce a million tons of green ammonia using resources within the Kingdom and that clean technology is essential for improving sustainability and energy efficiency.

In her remarks, Helene Budliger Artieda, the Swiss State Secretary for Economic Affairs, underscored Switzerland's continued search for cutting-edge clean technology solutions to the world's difficult environmental problems.

She expressed her happiness that there were 15 Swiss startup firms present at the Saudi-Swiss event to meet with investors.

According to the Swiss State Secretary, this conference is the outcome of the collaboration between Swiss efforts to excel in innovation and the Kingdom's strong commitment to sustainable technological advancement.

The forum discussed the most recent scientific and technological advancements intended to lessen the environmental issues that nations throughout the world confront. It concentrated on discovering environmentally friendly breakthroughs and long-term fixes as well as investigating business prospects in the clean technology sectors.
