43rd King Abdulaziz International Competition participants visited Madinah historical sites

Madinah, Sep 4, 2023, As part of the competition's cultural program, which was overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, competitors in the King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization of the Holy Quran, now in its 43rd edition, visited a number of historical sites, mosques, and archaeological sites in Madinah yesterday. Participants in the program visited Jabal Uhud, the Martyrs of Uhud Cemetery, and Jabal al-Rumah, where they learned about the locations' histories. Along with Masjid Quba, the earliest mosque in Islam, they also went to Masjid al-Nabawi, the Prophet's Mosque, and the graves of the Prophet (PBUH) and his companions. They also worshiped in al-Rawdah al-Shareef and received information about the mosque's amenities and the stages of its construction.

They also went to the International Fair, the Museum of the Life of the Prophet, and the Museum of Islamic Civilization.

The attendees congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for their enormous efforts to serve Islam and Muslims, for building and maintaining mosques, and for making sure that those who visit them are as comfortable as possible at the conclusion of their tour to Madinah.

At the Grand Mosque in Makkah, the competition for the final qualifiers just came to an end. This week, a celebration honoring the competition's victors will bring the program to an end.
