Riyadh, December 16, 2023, As part of his official visit to the Republic of Korea, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, undertook visits to various factories in Changwon and Seoul to explore and strengthen industrial ties between Saudi Arabia and South Korea.
In Changwon, Minister Al-Khorayef engaged with officials from the Doosan company and conducted a comprehensive tour of the factory facilities. During this visit, he had the opportunity to witness the company's remarkable advancements in several key areas, including thermal power plants, turbines, generators, desalination plants, castings, and packaging. The firsthand experience provided valuable insights into Doosan's technological prowess and innovation in diverse industrial sectors.
In Seoul, the minister extended his exploration to KG Mobility's factory, a prominent player in the Korean automotive manufacturing landscape. The visit to KG Mobility offered Minister Al-Khorayef a deep dive into the company's noteworthy achievements, particularly in the production of multi-use vehicles (SUVs) and crossover SUVs. Additionally, discussions included insights into KG Mobility's plans and initiatives in the realm of electric vehicles, reflecting the dynamic nature of the automotive industry.
These factory visits were strategically aligned with the goal of fostering greater cooperation and partnership between Saudi Arabia and South Korea in the industrial and mining sectors.
