Riyadh, September 14, 2023, Alongside the 45th Extended Session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which is taking place from September 10 to 25 in Riyadh, the Assistant Minister of Culture, Rakan Al-Touq, met with Lord Stephen Parkinson, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State of the UK Department for Culture, Media, and Sport, yesterday. Al-Touq wished the British Lord a warm welcome to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and thanked the UK for expressing support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's nomination to the UNESCO Executive Board for the period 2023–2027. The two sides spoke about their current cultural collaboration and emphasized the value of furthering their bilateral cultural ties under the framework of the February 2022 memorandum of understanding for cultural cooperation. They also anticipated working together to create various projects in the fields of history and museums.
