At ITEX 2024, two Taif students received gold and silver medals.

- Mainly during the closed season, which is usually called "miqyad" and could last even seven months, the falconers of Saudi Arabia leave their birds in the hands of qualified caretakers.

The given miqyad time will also allow the falcons to go through the normal process of molting, in which old feathers fall out and new ones start to grow.

- During miqyad, falcons are provided with specialized care in facilities with appropriate temperature, lighting, and ventilation to maintain their health and allow them to exhibit natural behavior.

Taif received the gold and silver prizes, respectively, at the International Invention, Innovation, and Technology Exhibition (ITEX), which took place in Malaysia on May 16 and 17, 2024.

Dr. Saeed Al-Ghamdi, who is the Director of the Taif Branch of the Ministry of Education, expressed his gratitude to the children, their families, and their schools for their contributions to achieving this milestone.

According to Al-Ghamdi, the branch of the ministry that is located in Taif has accomplished a great deal both locally and internationally.
