Bahrain Selected as Asian Youth Wrestling Championships Host

In a remarkable display of sporting prowess, the Kingdom of Bahrain has been chosen as the prestigious host for the highly anticipated Asian Under-15 and Under-20 Asian Youth Wrestling Championships. This momentous event, set to captivate wrestling enthusiasts from across the continent, promises to showcase the immense talent and dedication of young athletes in the realm of wrestling. Under the patronage of the Asian Wrestling Federation and United World Wrestling (UWW), the highly anticipated event is set to take place at the prestigious Khalifa Sports City Arena.

In an extraordinary display of talent and skill, approximately 700 young wrestlers from various nations have gathered to compete in a highly anticipated championship. Among the formidable contenders are countries known for their prowess in the sport, including Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, China, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Uzbekistan. Additionally, the tournament boasts a strong representation from the Middle East, with nations such as Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, and Bahrain eagerly participating in the event.

In a regal display of authority, His Highness In a resounding statement, Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the esteemed President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, has underscored the immense significance of hosting the forthcoming championship. This prestigious event, aligned with the visionary aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, aims to propel the nation towards a future characterized by a thriving sporting culture and a vibrant, active society.

In a significant development for the region, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been chosen as the host country for the highly anticipated 2023 World Combat Games. Among the 16 combat sports set to take center stage, wrestling stands out as a prominent discipline.
