Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Institute organizes "Health Excellence" workshop

Makkah, October 10, 2023, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, affiliated with Umm Al-Qura University, recently orchestrated a workshop titled "Health Excellence in Serving Pilgrims." This event convened over 90 participants hailing from the Hajj and Umrah sector.

Distinguished attendees at the workshop included Dr. Adnan Al-Shahrani, the institute's Dean, and Dr. Emad bin Ali Al-Jahdali, the Dean of the College of Medicine. The primary objective of this gathering was to establish multidisciplinary research teams dedicated to enhancing services for pilgrims. It focused on leveraging the best scientific methodologies, both local and global health practices, to elevate the health system for pilgrims and Umrah travelers.

During the workshop, a range of topics from the 23rd Scientific Forum for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit Research were explored. These discussions encompassed strategies for safeguarding the health and safety of large crowds, advancements in healthcare technology for pilgrims, preventive healthcare measures for pilgrims, and the importance of environmental sustainability.
