Madinah, January 28, 2024, Each day, Zamzam water undergoes a rigorous and meticulous process of examination, storage, transportation, and distribution at the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. A specialized team oversees these operations to ensure a continuous and ample supply of the sacred water to worshipers and visitors.
The Saudi Press Agency's lens recently captured a glimpse of the daily activities involved in transporting Zamzam water to the Prophet's Mosque. Tankers transport the water from Makkah to the unloading station adjacent to the mosque, where it is stored in specially designed tanks that adhere to the highest quality and safety standards.
Following the arrival of Zamzam water, a thorough inspection process is initiated by specialists to guarantee its cleanliness and purity. The Suqya Administration within the mosque is responsible for the tasks of filling and distributing Zamzam water containers within the Prophet's Mosque and its courtyards, ensuring accessibility for all worshipers and visitors.
To maintain the safety of the water for worshipers, approximately 80 daily samples of Zamzam water undergo analysis using state-of-the-art devices and technologies. This comprehensive testing ensures that the water meets the highest standards of safety and quality. Additionally, various samples are routinely collected from hard surfaces throughout the Prophet's Mosque to verify and maintain their cleanliness.
