Jeddah, September 05, 2023, On the sidelines of the Sustainable Maritime Industry Conference (SMIC) in Jeddah yesterday, Minister of Transport and Logistics Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser met privately with a number of transport ministers and senior officials. Al-Jasser met with the Somali Minister of Ports, Abdullahi Ahmed Jama, the Minister of Transport for Ghana, Kwaku Asiamah, the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Kitack Lim, the Minister of Transport and Communications for Bahrain, Mohammed Al-Kaabi, and the Minister of Transport for Iraq, Razzaq Muhaibas. In order to deepen collaborations and use innovation and contemporary technology to create a sustainable maritime industry, discussions focussed on how to promote cooperation in the development and economic spheres as well as investment prospects in the public and private sectors.
