Al-Sayahid, December 31, 2023, The eighth edition of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival has attracted considerable attention to its camel auctions, with participants and investors engaging in transactions worth millions of dollars. The auctions, witnessing a remarkable turnout, have become a focal point for those involved in the camel industry.
Faraj Al-Thawri, the supervisor of the camel market at the festival, reported that over 900 camels were successfully sold at these auctions, amounting to approximately SAR 62 million. The camel market experienced a surge in investor interest, leading to substantial daily sales through both wholesale and individual camel auctions. Al-Thawri highlighted the diverse range of camel categories available for sale during these auctions.
