Jeddah/Dammam, October 04, 2023, Eng. Mohammed Albumijdad, a member of the Saudi national robotics team, is currently competing in the 15th season of the Stars of Science show. He is proudly representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with his innovative project, the "Crawler Robot for Vertical Surfaces," in a competition that features over 3,000 groundbreaking innovations.

Albumijdad, who holds a Master's degree in Robotics and Autonomous Intelligent Systems Engineering and studied mechanical engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, shared that he dedicated three years to develop this project. His robot is designed to traverse vertical surfaces and execute intricate tasks, such as inspecting dams and skyscrapers, detecting cracks in bridges, and cleaning hard-to-reach windows.

The show airs every Friday at 9 pm on various international, regional, and local broadcasters, including Alrai Alsumaria and YouTube. The finalists will be unveiled in the sixth episode on October 13, and the winner will be determined through online voting.

Albumijdad expressed his gratitude to the Saudi Federation for Robotics and RC Sports for their unwavering support, which has enabled him to represent the Kingdom on numerous international stages.

The Stars of Science show, an educational and entertaining initiative by Qatar Foundation, aims to empower Arab innovators to develop technological solutions that enhance their communities, improve people's health and lifestyles, and contribute to environmental preservation.
