Tunis, January 29, 2024, The Saudi Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) and the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) have formalized a collaborative agreement aimed at elevating Arabic language learning standards. This strategic partnership also involves joint efforts to implement and evaluate the IQ-scale AlifYa Scale, a specialized tool tailored specifically for Arab societies. The signing ceremony for this significant agreement took place during the ALECSO Forum for Business and Partnerships in Tunisia.
Under the terms of the agreement, ETEC and ALECSO commit to working together to develop comprehensive guidelines for Arabic language learning standards. The collaboration extends to the implementation and evaluation of these standards within the broader framework of general education. This initiative underscores the shared commitment to enhancing the quality of Arabic language education and its alignment with global standards.
A key component of the partnership involves the design of content and activities for training programs, with a focus on building capacity in the field of preparing and assessing Arabic language teaching. This strategic collaboration aims to contribute to the continuous improvement of Arabic language education methods and practices.
Furthermore, the agreement outlines the application of the AlifYa Scale, specifically designed for Arab societies, to a sample of 1,000 students comprising both male and female participants across various ALECSO member states. The implementation of a five-day training program is envisioned to facilitate the effective utilization and assessment of the AlifYa Scale.
