Riyadh, December 17, 2023, The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has released its monthly report on the performance of domestic and international airports in Saudi Arabia for November. The evaluation is based on 11 key performance measurement criteria, reflecting the efficiency and compliance of airports.
In the overall assessment, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, King Fahd International Airport, Abha International Airport, Al-Ahsa International Airport, and Gurayat Airport emerged as leading performers.
For international airports with more than 15 million passengers annually, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah secured the top spot with a remarkable compliance rate of 91%, followed by King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with 82%.
In the category of international airports with five to 15 million passengers annually, King Fahd International Airport led with a commendable compliance rate of 91%, with Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport closely following with the same rate. King Fahd International Airport outperformed in the criterion of achievement.
Abha International Airport claimed the first position among international airports with two to five million passengers annually, achieving a robust 91% compliance rate. Following closely, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jizan secured an 82% compliance rate.
In the category of international airports with less than two million passengers, Al-Ahsa International Airport achieved a perfect 100% compliance rate, excelling in terms of the total average waiting time for departures and arrivals.
For domestic airports, Gurayat Airport demonstrated outstanding performance with a perfect 100% compliance rate, surpassing its peers in terms of the total average waiting time for departing and arriving flights. These results highlight the commitment of Saudi airports to maintaining high standards of efficiency and compliance in their operations.
