GCC Secretary-General welcomes Saudi Arabia's 2034 FIFA World Cup bid
Riyadh, October 05, 2023, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi has expressed his welcome to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, stating that this bid aligns with the ambitious vision of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in hosting global sports events.
Albudaiwi emphasized that this bid underscores the great and high capabilities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in hosting such events and reflects the Kingdom's esteemed position on the map of accommodating international functions.
He extended his wishes to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, and its people for all the success and prosperity in organizing the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
