GDNC reports seized 3,426,000 amphetamine tablets in Riyadh
Riyadh, August 30, 2023, Major Marwan Al-Hazmi, the spokesman for the General Directorate for Narcotics Control (GDNC), reported that during security follow-ups in the Riyadh Region, a shipment containing 3,426,000 tablets of the amphetamine drug was found and seized. As a result of their participation in the attempted smuggling of the recovered drugs, the police detained three Yemeni nationals and a Syrian national who had a valid entry visa for the delivery of products. The Public Prosecution has received the persons for further legal proceedings. The security officials ask the public to report any information on drug smuggling or sales by calling emergency numbers 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern areas, and 999 in other regions of the Kingdom, in an effort to fight drug trafficking.
