Global Research Council designates Saudi Arabia as main host for 2025 meeting in Riyadh

Riyadh, Dec 22, 2023, The Governing Board of the Global Research Council made a historic decision by approving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the main host for its 2025 annual meeting, scheduled to take place in Riyadh. The Republic of Türkiye will join as a host partner, marking a collaborative effort to bring together global leaders in research and innovation.

This significant milestone will mark the first time that the Global Research Council meeting is held in the Middle East and North Africa region since its establishment in 2012. The decision underscores the Kingdom's pioneering role in research, innovation, and development on both regional and global scales. This initiative aligns seamlessly with the objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030, emphasizing the commitment to advancing research and development under the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, and Prime Minister.

The Kingdom's bid to host the meeting was distinguished by its comprehensive inclusion of topics aligned with global research trends and subjects, as well as the overarching goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
