Grand Mosque hosts 43rd King Abdulaziz International Quran Competition qualifiers

Makkah, August 31, 2023, Over the past few days, a sizable crowd of Grand Mosque visitors, Umrah performers, contestants, and their companions filled the listening hall for the final qualifiers of the 43rd King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran. They all recognized the Saudi Arabian Kingdom's efforts to protect the Holy Quran, advance Islam and Muslims, and foster Islamic unity. They also emphasized the significance of this competition in the Islamic world, as it inspires young Muslims to learn about their religion and memorize passages from the Holy Quran. 166 competitors from 117 nations compete in the King Abdulaziz International Competition, which has a SAR4 million prize fund.
