Health Minister Al-Jalajel launches "Walk 30" on November 9 in Riyadh.

In a noteworthy development, Minister of Health Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel is set to inaugurate the fifth edition of the widely acclaimed nationwide initiative "Walk 30" on the upcoming Saturday at the Digital City in Riyadh, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on November 9, 2023. The primary objective of this campaign, according to the Ministry of Health, is to foster public health by encouraging individuals to engage in a daily 30-minute walk, aligning with the overarching goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 to enhance the overall well-being of its citizens. A diverse range of activities will be meticulously organized as part of the initiative, aiming to raise awareness about the significance and health advantages associated with regular walking. The campaign seeks to not only promote physical activity but also to enhance fitness levels and fortify immune functions. Commencing in 2019, the "Walk 30" campaign has become an annual event, actively taking place in over 20 cities across the Kingdom. Notably, the 2022 edition witnessed the participation of Tedros Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of the World Health Organization. Over the years, the campaign has garnered significant traction, with an impressive participation figure of approximately 16,000 individuals across various regions of the Kingdom.
