The main objective of the meeting was to delve into potential areas of collaboration between the two nations in order to uphold integrity and combat corruption. During the meeting, representatives from both sides engaged in a fruitful discussion, exploring a range of strategies and initiatives that could be collaboratively implemented to effectively tackle the issue at hand. In a recent meeting, the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority delivered a comprehensive overview of their noteworthy endeavors in safeguarding integrity, fostering transparency, and battling corruption. The Republic of the Maldives delegation offered valuable insights from their own experiences in the field. In a remarkable display of their unwavering dedication to eradicating corruption, the Kingdom and the Republic of the Maldives recently solidified their alliance by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This pivotal agreement seeks to bolster collaboration in the ongoing battle against corruption, primarily by fostering the seamless exchange of vital information pertaining to corruption-related offenses. Additionally, this MoU aims to fortify the institutional frameworks of both nations, empowering them to effectively combat this pervasive issue.
