Islamic Affairs Minister Meets Omani Minister of Endowments on the Sidelines of the 9th Awqaf Conference in Makkah


In Makkah, Saudi Arabia, Dr. Mohammed Bin Said Al Mamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs of Oman, and his entourage met with Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance.


Under the auspices of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance hosted the 9th Conference of Ministers of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, where the meeting was held.


About sixty notable individuals from the Islamic world are expected to attend the conference, which aims to further and solidify the concepts of moderation.



"Makkah, August 4, 2024." On Saturday, Dr. Mohammed Bin Said Al Mamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs of Oman, and his delegation met with Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, and Executive Chairman of the Conference of Ministers of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in the Islamic World. In addition, Al-Sheikh serves as the CEO of the Islamic World Conference of Ministers of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.The meeting was held during the 9th Conference of Ministers of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the caretaker of the two sacred mosques, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance held the meeting. About sixty well-known Islamic leaders are expected to attend the conference, which has as its theme "The Role of the Ministries of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf in Promoting the Principles of Moderation and Consolidating the Values of Moderation," which starts in Makkah on Sunday.Regarding issues of Islamic importance, Dr. Abdullatif stressed the strong and substantial relationship between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In response, the Omani government's minister stated that he agreed with the conference's principles, which promote moderation.
