Jazan Region Education excels, secures second place in Taipei science competition

Jizan, February 03, 2024, The General Administration of Education in Jazan Region has achieved international acclaim by securing the second position in this year's International Science Fair (TISF) competition held in Taipei, Taiwan. The prestigious event saw the participation of 54 students from 27 countries, showcasing their scientific prowess.

Ghala Turki Nafie Al-Mabadi, a student from the Fifth Secondary School in Jazan, played a pivotal role in this achievement by clinching the silver medal for her exceptional research in the field of environmental engineering. Al-Mabadi's research, titled "Designing a New Prototype for a Hybrid Car Powered by Hydrogen," was part of a series of innovative projects presented by the Saudi delegation.

Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Jazan Region, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Al-Mabadi, her family, and the Jazan education department for this remarkable international accomplishment. He emphasized that this achievement reflects the Kingdom's commitment to fostering a significant educational and scientific renaissance, supported by wise leadership and quality programs that encourage and support talented individuals, particularly women. The success of students in various local, regional, and international competitions stands as a testament to the Kingdom's dedication to nurturing and celebrating intellectual excellence.

Malhi bin Hassan Aqdi, the Director General of Education in the Jazan region, expressed that Al-Mabadi's second-place finish for her research in environmental engineering was well-deserved. This recognition not only highlights the excellence of the student but also underscores the region's commitment to promoting scientific innovation and academic excellence.
