Riyadh, February 1, 2024, The Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), an international multilateral entity dedicated to fostering digital prosperity on a global scale by expediting inclusive and sustainable growth in the digital economy, has declared Jordan as the holder of its presidency for the year 2024.
At the helm of the DCO Council for Digital Collaboration, Jordanian Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmad Hanandeh, will assume the pivotal role of chairman. This strategic appointment underscores Jordan's commitment to advancing digital collaboration and steering the organization towards its objectives of fostering an inclusive and sustainable digital landscape worldwide.
The formal announcement transpired during the DCO's third annual General Assembly meeting, convened in Bahrain on Wednesday. The event garnered participation from heads of delegations, ministers, and representatives hailing from the 16 DCO member countries.
