King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Festival concludes in Al-Qurayyat

Al-Qurayyat, April 19, 2024, The King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Festival, hosted by the Reserve Development Authority, came to a closeThursday evening at the Cultural Center in Al-Qurayyat Governorate. The festival's primary objective was to introduce tourists and local residents to the recreational sites within the reserve while encouraging active participation from the local community in various activities.

The festival offered a diverse range of enjoyable activities and unique experiences suitable for visitors of all ages. It combined entertainment elements with opportunities for learning about the reserve's natural diversity and wildlife. The event attracted a significant turnout, with attendees exploring nine distinct sections:

1. Craftsmen's Market: Showcasing the talents of local artisans and their handmade crafts.

2. Folk Shows: Presenting traditional performances and cultural displays.

3. Wildlife Area: Featuring information and exhibits about the wildlife species found in the reserve.

4. Reserve Pavilion: Providing insights into the history and significance of the royal reserve.

5. Performing Arts Theater: Hosting live performances and artistic presentations.

6. Children's Area: Offering interactive and educational activities tailored for young visitors.

7. Interactive Competitions: Engaging attendees in friendly competitions and challenges.

8. Afforestation and Agriculture Area: Educating visitors about conservation efforts and sustainable agriculture practices.

9. Restaurants and Cafes Area: Providing a variety of dining options for festival attendees.

Visitors had the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities such as learning how to cultivate plants and seeds in designated cultivation basins. They also received educational sessions about the reserve's wildlife, conservation initiatives aimed at reintroducing endangered species, and efforts to enhance their populations. The handcraft path allowed visitors to appreciate the skills and contributions of local craftsmen and craftswomen, fostering an appreciation for traditional craftsmanship within the community.
