Mogadishu, December 28, 2023, On Wednesday, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) concluded the Saudi Noor Voluntary Program to Combat Blindness and related diseases in Bosaso, Federal Republic of Somalia. The program, executed from December 14 to 20, 2023, marked a collaborative effort between 14 dedicated volunteers and the Al-Basar International Foundation.
Throughout the campaign, the volunteer medical team demonstrated remarkable commitment, conducting examinations for 2,578 individuals. The program also facilitated the provision of 800 prescription glasses to those in need and the successful completion of 298 specialized surgeries aimed at addressing various eye-related conditions.
The Saudi Noor Voluntary Program is part of a broader initiative by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, facilitated through KSrelief, to combat blindness and related diseases on a global scale.
