Hadhramaut, January 26, 2024, In commemoration of the International Day of Education on January 24, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has initiated the distribution of school bags and various sponsorships in the Mukalla District of Hadhramaut Governorate. This effort, which marks the second phase of the project, aims to support orphans and economically empower their families in Yemen.
As part of the initiative, a total of 76 school bags were distributed in Hadhramaut, accompanied by cash sponsorships for 76 orphan beneficiaries. The project aligns with the center's commitment to enhancing the living and social conditions of orphans, encouraging them to pursue their education.
Hadhramaut Governorate Undersecretary Hassan Salem Al-Jilani emphasized the significance of the project for orphans, noting its positive impact on their overall well-being. He commended the activities and initiatives of the King Salman Relief Center in various humanitarian fields across Yemen.
The broader goal of the project is to economically empower 440 families within the orphan group by creating sustainable job opportunities, providing income, and offering living, educational, and health sponsorships. This comprehensive approach aims to strengthen their resilience against the economic challenges resulting from the loss of a supporter. Additionally, the project is set to facilitate the enrollment of 1,300 orphans in the education process.
The initiative is part of the Kingdom's ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts through the King Salman Relief Center, demonstrating a commitment to caring for orphans and improving their living conditions across various regions in Yemen.
