KSrelief sends seventh aid shipment to Sudan via relief sea bridge

Jeddah, March 29, 2024 On Thursday, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) dispatched its seventh aid consignment via the Saudi relief sea bridge to Sudan, marking another significant effort in the ongoing humanitarian assistance provided by Saudi Arabia to its sisterly nation.

The shipment comprised 12 refrigerated trucks carrying a total of 14,960 food baskets, weighing a combined 524 tons. Departing from Jeddah Islamic Port, the aid convoy reached Sudan's Suakin Port, reinforcing the Kingdom's commitment to supporting Sudanese communities in need.

This aid delivery forms part of the second phase of the food-security project in Sudan, a crucial initiative spearheaded by KSrelief with the aim of assisting 1.5 million beneficiaries. By addressing the pressing humanitarian challenges faced by the Sudanese populace, this endeavor underscores Saudi Arabia's steadfast dedication to aiding sisterly and friendly nations during times of crisis.

Moreover, the seamless coordination and swift response exemplified by the Saudi relief sea bridge highlight the enduring bond between Saudi Arabia and Sudan, further cementing the strong bilateral relations shared between the two nations.
