Masam project in Yemen cleared 783 mines in September 2023
Adan, September 10, 2023, The Masam project, run by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) for mine clearing in Yemen, made substantial progress during the first week of September 2023. All told, 783 mines were destroyed throughout Yemen's various regions. This contained 687 unexploded ordinances, 5 improvised explosive devices, 84 anti-tank mines, 7 anti-personnel mines, and 84 anti-tank mines. A remarkable 414,526 mines that were randomly planted across various Yemeni territories have been removed since the Masam project's commencement. This effort is essential for shielding vulnerable adults, women, and children from more damage. The Kingdom remains committed to helping the Yemeni people live better and safer lives and does so through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief.
