Riyadh, January 9, 2024, Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dosari officially inaugurated the registration process for the upcoming third annual Saudi Media Forum during his participation in the Media Excellence Award ceremony.
Scheduled to be held from February 19 to 21, the Saudi Media Forum, organized by the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) in collaboration with the Saudi Journalists Association, aims to establish and reinforce communication ties with specialized institutions, both domestically and internationally. The overarching goal is to generate a positive impact and elevate the quality of the media industry, ensuring its alignment with the constant advancements in technology.
The return of the Saudi Media Forum signifies its enduring significance and active role in creating a lasting positive impact within the media landscape. It aspires to contribute to the advancement of the media industry in Saudi Arabia by exploring the latest technologies in response to the rapid transformations occurring on a global scale.
The forum seeks to foster a dynamic and impactful community for investment opportunities while facilitating the exchange of local and international experiences in the media sector. It further aims to enhance the Kingdom's position in the media landscape.
Running alongside the forum, the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX), the largest specialized media exhibition in the Middle East, will be inaugurated. FOMEX provides a platform for media enthusiasts and includes numerous specialized and high-quality workshops.
In its second edition, FOMEX will spotlight the latest developments in media production across radio and television. The exhibition endeavors to create an environment conducive to the exchange of ideas, opinions, and experiences related to technological and innovative advancements in media production, encompassing content from local, regional, and global perspectives.
The Saudi Media Forum will feature over 30 sessions, delving into the future of the media sector. Distinguished speakers will present diverse perspectives and trends, with a primary focus on the sector's evolution and future outlook.
The sessions will span various sectors, including the intersection of sports and media, the financial and business sector, tourism, and major events. Additionally, dedicated sessions on World Expo Riyadh 2030 and the FIFA World Cup 2034 will take place, along with discussions on crucial topics such as energy, artificial intelligence (AI) applications in media, and investments in technological infrastructure for media businesses.
