Riyadh, January 20, 2024, The Chemistry Olympics Steering Committee has convened in Riyadh to discuss the Kingdom's preparations for hosting the 2024 Chemistry Olympiad. This collaborative effort involves the Ministry of Education, the King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba," and the King Saud University.
Scheduled to take place from July 21-30 at the King Saud University, the 56th Chemistry Olympics will see participation from teams representing 86 countries. The event is exclusively sponsored by the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC).
During their visit to the headquarters of "Mawhiba," committee members delved into the Kingdom's pioneering initiatives, creating a conducive environment that nurtures the talents of individuals, enabling them to excel in their abilities. This approach aligns with international standards and reflects the Kingdom's commitment to realizing the directives of its leadership and the objectives outlined in the Saudi Vision 2030.
Highlighting the Kingdom's achievements in the Chemistry Olympiad, it currently boasts an impressive record of 14 silver medals, 25 bronze medals, and two certificates of appreciation at the International Chemistry Olympiad.
