Minister of Interior Honors Winners of King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2023, Sets New Records in Global Falconry

Riyadh, December 20, 2023, Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, also serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Falcons Club, recently bestowed honors upon the accomplished winners of the awards presented at the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2023.

In a remarkable achievement, the festival has etched its name in the prestigious Guinness World Records for the third time in its history, boasting an impressive participation of 2,654 falcons. The festival's Al-Milwah and Al-Mazayen competitions have garnered immense attention, with a prize pool exceeding SAR33.6 million.

The ceremony, presided over by Minister Abdulaziz bin Saud, recognized the exceptional skills and achievements of participants, emphasizing the cultural significance and competitive spirit of falconry in the Kingdom.

Looking ahead, the Saudi Falcons Club, in collaboration with the Royal Commission for AlUla, is poised to host the highly anticipated AlUla Falconry Cup 2023. Scheduled to unfold in AlUla from December 28 to January 5, this forthcoming competition boasts an unprecedented prize pool valued at SAR60 million, setting a new benchmark as the highest prize offering in the history of falconry competitions worldwide.

The AlUla Falconry Cup 2023, supported by the Royal Commission for AlUla, aims to attract top-tier falconers from around the globe. Beyond the substantial prize purse, the competition serves as a platform to celebrate the rich heritage of falconry, showcasing the Kingdom's commitment to preserving and promoting this traditional art form.
