Sarajevo, March 11, 2024, The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance launched the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' gift initiatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina yesterday, marking the beginning of Ramadan festivities. The event, graced by the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Osama Al-Ahmadi, Bosnian Grand Mufti Husein Kavazović, and several dignitaries, showcased Saudi Arabia's generosity in distributing dates and hosting Iftar banquets during the holy month.
Approximately 10 tons of dates are slated for distribution, benefiting over 30,000 individuals across Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ambassador Al-Ahmadi highlighted the symbolic significance of the gift, underlining Saudi Arabia's unwavering commitment to supporting Islam and Muslims globally. Grand Mufti Kavazović expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia's consistent backing of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This year, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs will extend the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' gift program to 93 countries, delivering dates and organizing Iftar gatherings in 60 nations during Ramadan.
