Ministry, KAUST, Interior, Security College celebrate Drones Training Program graduation
Riyadh, August 17, 2023, In an important event, the Ministry of Interior Development Program, King Fahd Security College, and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) joined forces to commemorate the graduation of the inaugural cohort of the highly anticipated Drones Training Program. The event saw the presence of esteemed individuals, including Major General Dr. Ali bin Abdulrahman Al-Duaij, the Director-General of the prestigious King Fahd Security College. Also in attendance were Eng. Nabil bin Khalid Al-Dabal, the CEO of the Ministry of Interior Development Program, along with Sulaiman Al-Thunayan, the Vice President for Government Affairs at KAUST, and Professor Sultan Al-Barakati, the Director-General of the KAUST Academy. The first phase of the training plan has been successfully completed by the graduates. This comprehensive phase consisted of two parts. The first part focused on a professional course designed to equip the graduates with the necessary skills to become professional pilots capable of obtaining an international license to operate drones. The second part of the training included four specialized courses that covered various areas such as security and surveillance, aerial videography, structure examination, and surveying and mapping. These courses aimed to enhance the graduates' efficiency and skill set, ultimately leading to a higher quality of work in their assigned tasks.
