Najran, Jazan, Asir, Baha, Makkah regions expect thundershowers, dusty winds

Riyadh, March 28, 2024, The National Center for Meteorology has issued a weather forecast indicating thundershowers with dust-stirring winds in certain areas of Najran, Jazan, Asir, Baha, and Makkah regions. Additionally, fog formations are expected in parts of these regions, extending to some areas of the Madinah region.

The wind patterns are anticipated to vary across different bodies of water. Over the Red Sea, winds will be westerly to northwesterly in the northern region at speeds ranging from 10 to 30 km/h. In the central part, winds will be southwesterly to westerly, also at speeds of 10 to 30 km/h. In the southern part of the Red Sea, winds will shift to southeasterly to southwesterly, with speeds ranging from 20 to 40 km/h, accompanied by thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the Arabian Gulf will experience northwesterly winds in its northern part, ranging from 10 to 30 km/h. In the southern portion of the Gulf, winds will be westerly to northwesterly, with speeds of 20 to 40 km/h.

These weather conditions highlight the need for residents and travelers in these regions to stay updated with official weather advisories and take necessary precautions, especially during thunderstorms and foggy conditions, to ensure safety and well-being.
