NCM forecasts thunderstorms and strong winds in Saudi Arabia today

Riyadh, October 9, 2023, The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued weather forecasts indicating thunderstorms and strong winds in various regions of Saudi Arabia today. These include Jazan, Asir, Baha, Makkah, Madinah heights, Tabuk, Northern Borders, and Jawf, with potential reductions in visibility. Additionally, some parts of Riyadh and Hail regions may experience strong winds accompanied by dust, leading to reduced visibility. Along the Red Sea, winds are expected to be northerly to northwesterly in the northern and central areas, with speeds ranging from 15 to 45km/h, while the southern part will experience southerly to southwesterly winds at speeds of 15 to 35km/h. In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be northerly to northwesterly, with speeds ranging from 15 to 40km/h.
