NCM provides weather forecasts for multiple Saudi regions
Riyadh, October 11, 2023, The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued weather forecasts for various regions in Saudi Arabia. In Madinah, Hail, Tabuk, Northern Borders, and Jawf, thunderstorms are expected, accompanied by strong winds carrying dust, which may reduce visibility.
In Jazan, Asir, Baha, and Makkah regions, the NCM predicts moderate to torrential thundershowers along with strong winds.
For those navigating the waters, the Red Sea will experience northerly to northwesterly winds in the northern and central parts, reaching speeds of 15 to 40 km/h. In the southern part of the Red Sea, southerly to southwesterly winds are anticipated, with speeds ranging from 10 to 35 km/h. Thunderstorms are expected near the Strait of Bab Al Mandab.
As for the Arabian Gulf, southwesterly to southeasterly winds will prevail with speeds of 10 to 25 km/h, shifting to northeasterly to northwesterly during the evening in the southern part, with speeds of 10 to 20 km/h.
