NEOM and IMG Golf collaborate on Sindalah's 9-hole beachside course
NEOM, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, On the opulent island of Sindalah, NEOM has announced a collaboration with market pioneer IMG Golf Course Services to build a ground-breaking 9-hole beachside golf course.
The Golf Club at Sindalah, a year-round, exclusive destination that will elevate the golfing experience in the Middle East, has hired IMG Golf Course Services to provide pre-opening, marketing, and management services.
Sindalah, the only island golf course of its kind in the GCC, will provide visitors—from beginners and young players to seasoned enthusiasts and golf professionals—with a completely distinctive golfing experience. The Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed golf course, which is 6,474 yards (5,920 meters) long and has a par of 70, will have nine holes and 18 teeing areas, a 280-meter driving range, and practice areas with modern ball tracking equipment and statistics feedback. Additionally, the course will be GEO certified, indicating that it upholds the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility.
The on-site sports club will be managed by the IMG Golf Course Services team and will provide guests with a variety of membership choices so they can take advantage of the greatest amenities, gear, and services, including an opulent gym, an Olympic-size pool, a decadent spa, and sports courts. Multiple performance studios from the Sindalah Golf Academy, which offers the most recent in custom-fitting and golf-learning technology, will further enhance the facilities.
Sindalah, which is well situated as a glitzy entrance to the Red Sea, will reinvent the luxury island experience and usher in a new era of beautiful, carefully selected vacations. The first ultra-prime superyacht location in the Red Sea region will be Sindalah, one of a chain of islands off the coast of NEOM. The island, which will debut in Q1 2024, will be the first manifestation of NEOM to be revealed to the public and provide a preview of the future developments The Line, Oxagon, and Trojena will bring to life.
"Sindalah will be the first physical showcase of NEOM to open to the world and will become a new and exotic golfing destination unlike any other," stated Antoni Vives, Chief Urban Development and Islands Officer of NEOM. We are honored to be collaborating with IMG Golf Course Services to make Robert Trent Jones Jr.'s world-class course at Sindalah a reality.
IMG Golf Course Services Vice President Russell Hannah said: "We are thrilled to join with NEOM and Sindalah Island and proudly welcome them to our growing portfolio of world-class clubs and resorts across the world. They have just the kind of project in mind for this breathtaking new location that will profit from IMG's global expertise and resources. We are excited to work with NEOM to realize their vision for Sindalah Island Golf Club, which we have high hopes will be one of the most stunning courses in the area.
Apart from the golf course, Sindalah will also feature a world-class marina with 86 berths for yachts up to 50 meters and additional serviced offshore buoys for superyachts up to 180 meters, as well as restaurants with chefs who have earned Michelin stars internationally.
Additionally, Sindalah will house three opulent hotels, including a Four Seasons Resort and the first Marriott International Autograph Collection Hotels property in Saudi Arabia. Prominent international entertainment figures will host the beach club. Italian firm Luca Dini Design & Architecture was in charge of the island's design, which drew inspiration from the coral reefs and waterscapes of the nearby Red Sea.
