New headquarters of The Garage opened with dignitaries present

Riyadh, September 19, 2023, In the presence of Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Communications & Information Technology, President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) Munir El-Desouki, Chairman of The Saudi Federation for Cyber Security and Programming, Drones Faisal Al-Khamissi, CEO of The Saadiyat Garage, and other dignitaries, the new 28,000-square-meter headquarters of The Garage opened yesterday on the main campus of King Abdula. The garage is located in a former parking garage and features office space for over 300 startups, 24 meeting rooms, enough space for 1,000 attendees, and amenities for training workshops. Together with Google for Startups and the National Technology Development Program, The Garage launched six initiatives in April 2022 to aid fledgling businesses: the Garage Plus business accelerator, the Garage incubator, the MVP Lab, the GAIA accelerator, and the first iteration of the Anter. The project has helped a total of 230 firms and 450 founders from over 50 different countries graduate from these programs.

These young businesses have already accomplished a great deal, with revenues of over SAR 24.5 million and investments of over SAR 215 million. More than 3,500 people, including business partners, investors, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders, attended the training program's 40+ events, at which 150 startups from across the world participated.

With the opening of The Garage's headquarters, entrepreneurs from all over the world will be able to join a unified network of investors, advisors, and other business leaders.

A large world-class innovation hub to help develop innovative technology-based startups created in Riyadh, The Garage, was revealed at the global technology event "LEAP '' in 2022.
