OIC Secretary General congratulates Islamic nation on Eid Al-Fitr

Jeddah, April 10, 2024, On the auspicious occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), conveyed heartfelt congratulations to the entire Islamic nation. He prayed to Allah the Almighty for the acceptance of their fasting and wished for the widespread dissemination of goodness throughout the Islamic world.

In his message, Taha extended special congratulations to the kings, presidents, and princes, with a particular emphasis on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the esteemed leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince.

While expressing gratitude for Allah's blessings, Taha also voiced deep sadness over the ongoing Israeli aggression towards the Palestinian people. He fervently appealed to Allah for the protection of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Additionally, Taha reiterated the OIC's steadfast support for various causes, including the Rohingya refugees, Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir, and those impacted by conflicts and crises in different regions. He expressed hope for an end to the war in Sudan.

In concluding his address, Taha expressed a profound desire for peace, goodness, security, and prosperity to prevail globally. He emphasized the need to eradicate the roots of hatred, violence, extremism, and terrorism. Taha urged for self-reflection and ongoing collaborative efforts to overcome the challenges facing the Islamic world, emphasizing the importance of unity and solidarity among all member nations of the OIC.
