Prince Faisal attends meeting supporting Somalia's sovereignty and territorial integrity

Cairo, March 06, 2024, On Wednesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah engaged in a meeting of the Ministerial Working Group aimed at bolstering support for the Federal Republic of Somalia in its efforts to counter aggression against its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Chaired by Somalia's Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Mohamed Omar, the gathering sought to address pressing concerns regarding Somalia's stability.

Additionally, Prince Faisal participated in a meeting of the Arab Ministerial Committee dedicated to monitoring Turkish interventions in the internal affairs of Arab nations. Chaired by Sameh Shoukry, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, this session convened on the sidelines of the 161st session of the Council of the Arab League (AL) at the ministerial level, hosted at the AL's headquarters in Cairo.

Both the Arab Ministerial Committee and the Ministerial Working Group emphasized the imperative of enhancing Arab cooperation on matters of mutual interest, while upholding the sovereignty of member states in accordance with international laws and conventions. Discussions also centered on analyzing the latest regional and international developments and evaluating ongoing efforts in addressing pertinent issues.

The meetings drew the participation of several high-ranking officials, underscoring the significance of collective diplomatic efforts in navigating complex geopolitical challenges facing the Arab world.
