Islamabad, April 17, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, recently held a joint press conference with his counterpart, Minister Ishaq Dar, in Islamabad, Pakistan's capital. The press conference, hosted at the headquarters of the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, served as a platform to underscore Saudi Arabia and Pakistan's mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation in addressing global challenges.

Prince Faisal highlighted the strategic collaboration between the two nations across diverse sectors, emphasizing their shared vision for advancing cooperation through government initiatives and fostering investment opportunities beneficial to both countries. He expressed optimism about the positive impact such collaboration would have on their respective nations.

Addressing the ongoing developments in Gaza, Prince Faisal voiced concern over the inadequacy of international efforts to secure a ceasefire, noting the significant civilian casualties exceeding 33,000. He highlighted the looming threat of famine in Gaza due to insufficient humanitarian aid reaching the region, urging the international community to fulfill its obligations and avoid double standards in addressing the crisis.

Prince Faisal also drew attention to the Israeli occupation's violations of recently adopted United Nations Security Council resolutions. He stressed the importance of prioritizing de-escalation in the Middle East and resolving disputes through dialogue rather than resorting to force. Prince Faisal reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's commitment to leveraging all necessary efforts to facilitate peaceful resolutions in the region.
