Prince Faisal bin Farhan joins Arab ministerial meeting in Cairo

Cairo, March 21, 2024, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah took part in an Arab ministerial consultative session held today in Cairo. The meeting, presided over by Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, saw the presence of key figures including Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Affairs Reem Al-Hashemi, and Palestine Liberation Organization Executive Committee Secretary and Minister of Civil Affairs Hussein Al-Sheikh.

The gathering delved into pressing matters, notably addressing the imperative to halt the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, advocate for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire, safeguard civilians in accordance with international humanitarian law, and eliminate impediments obstructing the delivery of humanitarian aid to the enclave.

Moreover, participants underscored the criticality of advancing towards the implementation of the two-state solution, advocating for the recognition of the State of Palestine within the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem designated as its capital, in alignment with pertinent international resolutions.

Among the attendees were Prince Musab bin Mohammed bin Fahd, deputy head of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's mission to the United States of America; Ambassador Mahmoud Qattan, director of the General Administration for Arab Countries Affairs; Mohammed Al-Yahya, advisor to the minister of foreign affairs; and Dr. Manal Radwan, advisor at the Foreign Ministry.
