Riyadh, October 25, 2023, Princess Reema bint Bandar, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the United States, engaged in discussions about the WAVE initiative, which aims to expedite ocean regeneration endeavors. The initiative, launched in collaboration with the Future Investment Initiative Institute (FII Institute) and the Ministry of Energy and its ecosystem during the seventh FII edition in Riyadh, seeks to support global initiatives for ocean regeneration, ecological balance restoration, and long-term sustainability. Recognizing the oceans' crucial role in ecological and climate equilibrium, as well as their significant impact on the global economy, WAVE serves as a platform for connecting global stakeholders and fostering collective efforts. The initiative will promote awareness programs, create digital databases, accelerate innovation, endorse scientific initiatives, and foster partnerships aimed at addressing pollution and restoring oceanic ecological balance.
