Tabuk, November 20, 2023, Red Sea Global (RSG) has attained the highest score ever recorded in the prestigious Platinum LEED v4.1 Cities: Plan and Design accreditation from the US Green Building Council (USGBC). The achievement, with a score of 96 out of 110 for The Red Sea destination's phase one masterplan, positions RSG as a global leader in developing healthy and efficient green buildings. This accomplishment underscores RSG's commitment to sustainability and exceeding industry standards.
RSG CEO John Pagano expressed pride in setting a new benchmark for sustainable tourism destinations, emphasizing the goal of redefining industry standards. This achievement comes on the heels of RSG being named Outstanding Developer of the Year at the LEED Homes Awards 2023.
USGBC President and CEO Peter Templeton commended RSG's unwavering commitment to the environment and positioned them as industry leaders. The Red Sea destination, upon full completion in 2030, will feature 50 resorts, 8,000 hotel rooms, over 1,000 residential properties, luxury marinas, golf courses, and various entertainment and leisure facilities.
