Riyadh to host 19th Internet Governance Forum in December 2024

Riyadh, Riyadh is set to host the 19th edition of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center from December 15th to 19th, 2024. Organized annually by the United Nations, the IGF brings together global experts to engage in discussions and shape international policies and trends related to internet governance. The forum operates in a collaborative manner involving governments, the private sector, and non-profit organizations.

The primary objective of the IGF is to facilitate discussions on policy issues concerning internet governance, exchange experiences, share information and best practices, and identify emerging digital challenges and solutions. Through these deliberations, the forum aims to enhance international cooperation and raise awareness on critical issues impacting the digital landscape.

The selection of Riyadh as the host city for the 19th edition of the IGF underscores Saudi Arabia’s significant capabilities in the fields of communications, information technology, and digital government. It also highlights the country's excellence in various areas, aligning with the programs and initiatives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
