Royal Directive extends Citizen Account Program support to beneficiaries

Jeddah, August 02, 2023, In a significant development, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has heeded the advice of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs. As a result, the additional aid provided to recipients of the Citizen Account Program will now continue for an additional two months, extending until September 2023. Furthermore, the registration process for this program will remain open, ensuring continued support for those in need.

In a move that aims to provide further assistance to the recipients of the Citizen Account Program, a royal directive was issued in July 2022. This directive allocated additional financial support, ensuring that beneficiaries would receive much-needed aid until the conclusion of the fiscal year 2022. Building upon this commitment, subsequent royal directives issued in January and April 2023 extended the program's duration. Notably, registration for the Citizen Account Program was to remain open until July 2023, allowing more individuals to access its benefits.

In a bid to shield Saudi households from the adverse effects of soaring global prices, the Citizen Account Program was established.
