Saudi Arabia expects thundershowers and strong winds in several regions

Riyadh, October 3, 2023, According to the latest update from the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), various regions across Saudi Arabia are expected to experience thundershowers and strong winds today. These weather conditions are particularly forecasted for Jazan, Asir, Baha, Makkah, and Madinah regions, where fog may also form.


In addition, the report indicates that the sky will be partly cloudy, with the possibility of thunderstorms and strong winds in certain areas of Tabuk, Jawf, Northern Borders, and Hail regions.


As for maritime conditions, the Red Sea is expected to witness northwesterly to northerly winds in the northern and central parts, with speeds ranging from 15 to 45km/h. Meanwhile, the southern part of the Red Sea will experience southwesterly to southeasterly winds at speeds of 15 to 40km/h. In the Arabian Gulf, the winds are anticipated to be northwesterly to northeasterly, with speeds ranging from 10 to 30km/h.
