Saudi Arabia, fastest-growing tourism destination, to showcase at WTM London
The World Travel Market (WTM) in London, from November 6 to 8, will host the largest delegation of Saudi tourism, comprising over 75 prominent Saudi stakeholders from important Saudi destinations. This represents a startling 48% increase from the previous year.
The largest exhibition stand the Saudi Tourism Authority has ever had at a WTM aims to be an immersive experience through Saudi hospitality, culture, and tradition, bringing to life Saudi Arabia's distinctive and varied travel destinations for business travelers.
In order to generate shared value and provide enabling solutions to unlock the hitherto unheard-of prospects in Saudi Arabia's booming tourist sector, the Saudi Tourist Authority is dedicated to collaborating with the international travel and tourism trade.
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia, recognized as the world's fastest-growing tourism destination, is set to make a resounding return to WTM London with a delegation of over 75 influential stakeholders from various sectors within the Saudi tourism industry. Led by the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), the delegation comprises leading figures from Destination Management Organizations (DMOs), Destination Management Companies (DMCs), hotels, tour operators, airlines, and cruise companies.
The interactive STA exhibition stand promises to offer a sensory journey through Saudi Arabia, featuring traditional music, coffee, date carts, and a delectable array of Arabian dishes. Live demonstrations of traditional Saudi crafts, such as basket weaving and flower crown creation, will add to the immersive experience.
Key features of the exhibition stand include a custom-built media studio capturing trade and partner voices, a showcase of cutting-edge tourism technology highlighting Saudi Arabia's commitment to innovation, and a dedicated Nusuk Area demonstrating an integrated digital platform for trade support in pilgrimage planning to Makkah and Madinah.
The diversity of Saudi Arabia will be showcased through an interactive map and activities calendar, while the Saudi Expert activation will engage trade partners and address their questions about potential business opportunities in the Kingdom.
Throughout the event, the STA delegation will participate in bilateral meetings, speaking engagements, and networking opportunities. The CEO of STA is slated to open the WTM London main stage and deliver a keynote speech. Exciting announcements and partnership agreements are expected to be unveiled, and a WTM Reception hosted by STA will provide further opportunities for networking with global travel and tourism organizations.
Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO and Member of the Board at Saudi Tourism Authority, expressed enthusiasm about Saudi's expanded and record-breaking participation, aligning with the Kingdom's ambitious targets of achieving 150 million visits by 2030. He emphasized the vibrancy of the winter season in Saudi Arabia, showcasing over 11,000 events across various cities.
