Saudi Arabia joins inaugural Youth GCC Games in UAE, April-May 2024

Riyadh, April 10, 2024, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set to actively participate in the inaugural Youth GCC Games, scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates from April 16 to May 2, 2024.

A total of 178 athletes from Saudi Arabia, representing both male and female contingents, will partake in this prestigious sporting event. They will compete across 20 different individual and team sports, showcasing the nation's talent and prowess in various disciplines. These sports include handball, football, basketball, athletics, swimming, judo, fencing, archery, cycling, badminton, billiards, karate, taekwondo, chess, jiu-jitsu, boxing, equestrianism, golf, electronic sports, and Paralympic athletics.

The participation of Saudi athletes in such a diverse range of sports reflects the Kingdom's commitment to promoting sportsmanship, healthy competition, and youth development within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. It also provides a platform for Saudi athletes to demonstrate their skills and abilities on an international stage, fostering camaraderie and cultural exchange among GCC nations.
