Riyadh, March 04, 2024, The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services, has unveiled the commencement of the second phase of Saudization for licensed aviation professions within private sector entities employing five or more workers in targeted aviation roles.
Scheduled to launch on March 4, 2024, this initiative forms part of the ministries' concerted endeavors to foster stable and rewarding employment opportunities for both male and female citizens, thereby amplifying their engagement in the labor market.
Under the second phase, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has delineated the Flight Attendant profession, with a 60% focus, and Fixed-Wing Pilot, with a 70% emphasis, as the primary targeted roles. Employees in these aviation sectors must obtain professional accreditation certification from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services has reaffirmed its commitment to supervising the execution of the second phase, aiming to bolster private sector entities by offering comprehensive support and employment initiatives accessible through the Human Resources and Social Development system. These measures aim to streamline the recruitment process and attract national talent.
To streamline the implementation process, the Ministry has released a procedural handbook encompassing all facets of the decision, its execution methodology, and the array of support and employment schemes available to private sector entities.
